Expand the concept of Lifestraw
Campaign: How do we generate pure water on site and eliminate the transportation of water?
There are already individual water filtering solutions such as \'lifestraw\' that will remove 99. 999999% of bacteria (including E. Coli and salmonella) and 99. 999% of parasites (including Giardia and Cryptosporidium) and Micro plastics. It has undergone rigorous testing: 0. 2 micron pore size removes turbidity and Micro plastics. All claims are externally Certified by laboratories using standard testing protocols set by the US EPA, NSF, and ASTM. There are also desalinization systems that could possibly be reconfigured for individual solutions.

Individual water treatment is coming a long way! Lifestraw does not provide water that would meet the rigorous requirements that most municipal drinking water systems do when it comes to viruses, chemicals, metals, etc. but the technology will keep advancing.

Thanks for the comment Erin. Is there another solution that would meet those requirements? What are some other advances we aren't aware of that we can recommend to pursue?
